Kejriwal wave: TalkToAK beats Pokémon Go to get maximum active users

Users from all over the world were glued to their computer and mobile screens as Arvind Kejriwal answered tough questions.

NEW DELHI: Arvind Kejriwal’s brave experiment of talking live to the common man through a cutting edge website TalkToAK.com has proved to be path breaking and record breaking.

On one hand it has shown how technology can be used innovatively for good governance, while on other hand it has created new records of traffic and user engagement for a digital product.

According to data released by web and mobile traffic tracking companies like ComScore and Alexa, TalkToAK.com saw huge traffic and user engagement that was never witnessed before for a website or any mobile app.

The website created for Arvind Kejriwal’s answers to questions by the common people broke records of Cricinfo.com when it saw maximum traffic to a single page on the day Sachin Tendulkar scored a double century. Not only that, it also broke record of recently launched mobile game Pokémon Go.

It should be noted that Pokémon Go had already broken records by having more active users than Twitter, but now TalkToAK.com has surpassed the number of active users attracted by the mobile game. Not only that, TalkToAK.com was on its way of overtaking Facebook in number of users when reports last came in.

“This is unprecedented. I have never seen so much traffic for a single event. I think even if there was internet in day of Mahatma Gandhi, even he couldn’t have attracted so many users,” a web traffic analyst told Junta Ka Reporter.

The traffic data shows that the users who visited TalkToAK.com were from all over the world, and not just Delhi, which is ruled by Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

According to sources, millions of users from Goa, Gujarat, Punjab, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam, Odisha and other Indian states were glued on to the website when Arvind Kejriwal listed his achievements as Chief Minister and answered tough questions put by the public.

“Questions were very very tough and even BJP couldn’t have asked tougher questions. I think this sets a new standard for transparency and integrity in public life. If only someone like Narendra Modi can match it,” neutral analyst Abhay Kumar Dubey said.

Due to the high quality of questions and answers, TalkToAK.com attracted users even from outside India. Sources say that even users from countries like Turkey and Iraq were watching the digicast on the website, which could explain why there were no new terror attacks or coup attempts in those countries today.
